2. What We Collect

  • Account information — email address, password (hashed, never stored in plain text)
  • Profile information — name, trading classification (investor/share trader), tax country
  • Trade data — positions, parcels, transfers, and other financial records you enter
  • Broker documents — trade confirmation PDFs you forward to your import inbox (processed and then discarded)
  • Billing information — handled entirely by Stripe; we do not store card numbers
  • Usage data — page views, feature usage, error logs for improving the service

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Providing and improving the Trackle service
  • Processing subscription payments via Stripe
  • Sending transactional emails (account confirmation, billing receipts)
  • Responding to support requests
  • Complying with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information or trade data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Supabase (hosted on AWS in Australia/Singapore). We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production data is restricted to authorised personnel only.

Soft-deleted records are retained for 30 days before permanent deletion. You may request immediate deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.

5. Third-Party Services

  • Stripe — payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy
  • Supabase — database and authentication hosting
  • Vercel — web hosting and deployment
  • Resend — transactional email delivery
  • Anthropic (Claude API) — PDF parsing for trade import (documents are not retained by Anthropic beyond the API request)

6. Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your account and data
  • Withdraw consent to processing (which may require account closure)

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (session management). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser but this will prevent you from logging in.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use of Trackle after changes constitutes acceptance.
